Paper received two awards at ICED25

We are honoured to share that our paper “Evaluating ChatGPT’s role in collaborative CAD task completeness” received two awards at The Design Society‘s flagship conference ICED25 in Dallas, Texas: the Reviewers Choice Award and the Design Science Journal Excellence in Design Science Paper Award for outstanding contribution.

The paper, authored by DATA-MATION team members Jelena Šklebar, Tomislav Martinec, Stanko Škec, and Mario Storga, explores how ChatGPT affects the completeness of collaborative CAD tasks. Findings show that while ChatGPT can hinder CAD-specific work, it offers potential in open-ended, domain-specific design tasks, highlighting the complementary role of human expertise and AI in engineering design.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Hrvatska zaklada za znanost (Croatian Science Foundation) (DATA-MATION project, IP-2022-10-7775).

We are deeply grateful for these recognitions, which motivate us to advance our research even further. Congratulations to the authors on this remarkable achievement!
